Mission
The Objectives of the society are:
Creativity Objectives- Secure an environment where artists can freely express themselves and develop their talents
Social Objectives- Create opportunities to socialize, share ideas and give support to fellow artists
Educational Objectives- Expose artists to new ideas and techniques
History
The Society was founded during 1972 in Vereeniging by Sheila Santilhano, and turned 52 this year. A formal Constitution was adopted and is reviewed and approved every year at the Annual General Meeting in January

The membership steadily increased over the years, currently we are 39 members with 6 Honorable members.
The Governance
The Governance structure includes a Management Committee who meets monthly and consists of the following responsibilities

Corporate Governance includes besides the Constitution, a well-managed financial budget program, an Annual year plan for mini-workshops with experts in various fields of art and monthly meetings with an Agenda and Minutes
A monthly Newsletter is issued with information such as news on the activities, new members who joined, competition winners and a technical contribution
